Thank you, Stokes!

A vision for the future.

I learned a lot about life growing up in Stokes County. My wife, Katie, and I were born and raised here, and when we came back from college, we knew Stokes County was where we wanted to be. Last year, I had the honor of being appointed as your sheriff. Over the next four years, I’m focused on building a community united in service, centered around positivity, and grounded in faith.

My priorities.

  • Christian Values

My faith defines me, and guides me to treat others with dignity and respect. We often interact with folks at their worst hour, so it’s important to practice the ‘Golden Rule’. It is also imperative that we have your trust, so I will always strive to be honest and transparent. This office belongs to the people, and I will never forget that.

  • Conservative Principles

When I took the oath of office as your sheriff, I swore to “...support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States…”, and I meant it. Our rights are given by God, not the government, and I will always endeavor to protect them, especially our Second Amendment. Enforcing the law shouldn’t be a partisan issue. We have to come together to fix the problems that we face.

  • Common-Sense Solutions

I promised to be a working sheriff, and to lead from the front. My office continues to arrest drug dealers and traffickers who operate in our county. We have done our part to reduce response times, and protect victims’ rights. Our DARE program, and School Resource Officers work daily to promote school safety, and encourage our children to make positive choices.

I love being your sheriff. Everyday, someone thanks me for the job we are doing. We are blessed to live in a great county, and your support and confidence means the world to us.
