Thank you, Stokes!

This morning Katie and I have spent time celebrating and looking back over the last day, the last two and half weeks, and the last fourteen months of this campaign. All we know to say is thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

To those who knocked on doors, walked neighborhoods, handed out palm cards, spoke with friends and family members on our behalf, attended rallies and fundraisers, worked polling places for hours on end, day after day; to those who passed along literature and donated so generously and hopefully of their time and finances to the campaign; to those who shared our message tirelessly — thank you. Just thank you.

And to our families and friends who put their lives on pause to help make this happen. You have our hearts, and we can never, ever express what that means to us.

As a county, you showed up, with enormous voter turnout. You made your voices heard, and you have chosen me to lead this office I love for another four years. I don’t take that lightly. I never will.

I am honored by your overwhelming vote of confidence. I will do right by the trust you’ve placed in me. As we’ve said all along, there is good to be done, and good to be found. Let’s get after it.

Will all our love and gratitude,

Katie and Joey
